Walk in Her Shoes was a campaign by CARE Canada to raise awareness and funds for women and girls globally, to address issues of inequality, lack of clean drinking water, safety, security, and sexual violence. By empowering women and girls to achieve their full potential, entire communities are transformed. I took part in this campaign for 8 years, to show my support in achieving a harmonious world, in which everyone is given equal opportunities and freedoms. The walk was my inspiration for starting this blog, to stand in solidarity with those who do not have freedom of choice or personal agency. It’s a joint effort to raise the status of women in society.

CARE Canada is active in over 80 countries around the world and is Canada’s leading global force in tackling poverty and inequality.

I’ve also been involved with (either through volunteer work or fundraising) with Right to Learn Afghanistan, Project iRise, Sahiyo, Ethiopiaid, and Haiti Mama. By supporting wonderful organizations that are truly having a positive impact on the world, we can help make a difference in the lives of individuals, as well as the collective. Together we can make a difference.
